Use your cell phone safely

I have been gone from the internet world for some time! Well from my PC that is.....

I will need to get back in the groove here!

Wow I am watching Dr. Oz today and some interesting findings have come up regarding cell phones and brain cancer/tumors. This is something that I'm sure many people have heard about over the years but have put the importance of it to the side! So here are some of the tips that were mentioned in reducing the risk of exposure to the radiation that it emits. Note: this also includes wireless home phones.
  1. Use your speakerphone to increase the distance from your head and your body.
  2. Use a wired headset.
  3. Don't hold your phone on or near your body (holsters, pockets, etc.)
  4. When reception is bad only use your phone in en emergency or when extremely necessary! When reception is low the phone puts out more power!
  5. If using a wireless headpiece do not hold phone in your pocket or holster because you are increasing exposure to your hip, bone marrow, prostate (for men), ovaries (for women), etc.
These are good tips for us all to take into consideration especially if you use your phone frequently!
